David Horsburgh | The back story - law enforcement and the intelligence community

David joined international security organisations and service providers in 1986, acquiring various skills. He spent twenty years working in the police service with ten years at the rank of Detective Sergeant. For sixteen years, David gained valuable operational experience in criminal investigations utilising listening devices, covert access technologies, video and CCTV enhancement, darkroom techniques and interpreting images.

In 1986 he was seconded to the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service, where he worked for five years as Chief Photographer. He left public service in 1997 to pursue several business interests. During this time David continued training with international security providers and organisations.
